Create the right recipe for you on #timetotalk day

The theme for this years’ Time to Talk Day focuses on picking the right ingredients to keep your mental health on track. Whilst Time to Change want to create the best environment to start conversations about our mental health, we’ve looked further at how we can create the best recipe to support positive mental health. Like every day cooking equations, ingredients can be adapted to suit everyone’s needs and tastes.

The same can be said for your mental health equation.

  1. Change up the ingredients – everyone is different. Resources, tools and treatments for your friends’, loved one or colleague’s mental health may not work, or be suitable, for you.

  2. Timing is everything – we all need varying levels of support throughout different periods of our life. Equally we live busy lifestyles and it’s vital to find support mechanisms that fit in with our daily routines.

  3. Don’t be afraid to ask for help – this is the core message of Time to Talk Day, it can seem a big challenge to talk about what you’re facing, however opening up to someone can make a really big difference.
